Summer Bummer : Sorry Ladies

Many who hear this story often think that this young man and woman are destined to be. But rest a assure ladies, he’s made it clear that this is only a friendship. So, I’m sorry if you thought it was going in a romantic direction.  Between peoples comments and her own intrigue, she figured she’d ask.  So randomly she asked him, “Have you ever considered being with me?”  He replied, “No I haven’t.” Of course her initial reaction was “ Why the hell NOT, I’m amazing.” But, to each his own and well that’s how the cookie crumbles folks.

Women are so prone to emotional attachment that sometimes , its just best to tell your emotions to shut up! And always watch who you hang around, it seems as if the moment people got in her ear about some things, her emotions shifted. Guard your heart and your ears!

No Cuddles. He has a Purpose.

Gandhi said, “The law of sacrifice is uniform throughout the world. To be effective it demands the sacrifice of the bravest and the most spotless.” She must be one of the bravest to sacrifice cuddling, and even more spotless to refrain when she lay next to the man in her notebook .   Does she like him? Yes. He’s so easy to understand because they are so much alike. Every day, he does or says something that amazes her. Regardless if he believes it or not, he’s a true gift and she sees so much greatness in him. Never in her life, has she lay in bed with someone and not cuddled. She loves to cuddle, it’s part of her lovey dovey nature; she cuddles her family, her friends and of course those randoms that were a waste of time.  But more importantly, he respected her decision to abstain from cuddling and he didn’t try a thing. She fell asleep in peace, something she could never do with anyone else.  No guilt. No conviction.  Just peace. When she woke up, she was entertained by the adventures of Dora the Explorer. She talked to God, while the man in her notebook called all the hogs with his snoring.  She just wanted to thank God for friendship, because it’s not something she gets to experience often. After her conversation with God, she doodled for a moment and began to feel the inspiration she had been missing. She wrote and continued to write until he woke up. Oddly, he placed a bible next to where she was writing. She cracked open the Good Book and the book of James touched her with a quickness.

A Spirit Tie ? Que ? : A David and Jonathan Kind of LOVE!

With all their coinidences, its hard for her NOT to think that they were brought together for something special. She may flirt with him but thats her nature, nothing major. And yes her fleshly desires get strong but for some reason,  she wants nothing more but to earn his trust. She feels as if he's apart of her,  that they are one in the same. Just yesterday, she went  the whole day without talking to him and woke up from a dream where he was there. At 3 am she text him and he was awake. It was then she realized that maybe he was special to her. She doesn't talk to her best friend everyday or ANYONE for that matter. The only time she talks to someone everyday for periods of time is if she and a guy are "talking" but she has no use for that now and even then they'd skip some days. But thats because usually the men she'd "talk" to would get boring and she'd find something more interesting to do.

But she read somewhere:

GOOD SOUL TIES have NO BONDAGE and are not really Soul Ties.

They are Spiritual in nature/ nothing of the Soul or the Flesh is involved. So they are actually SPIRIT TIES.

"Our Holy God has ordained and sanctioned the ties of bonding between children and parents, husbands and wives, friends with friends
and Christians with one another as members of the Body of Christ. These SPIRIT ties are founded upon the law of love, which the
Bible calls 'the law of Christ' "

1 Samuel 18
"After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself. 2 From that day Saul kept David with him and did not let him return home to his family. 3 And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself. 4 Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his tunic, and even his sword, his bow and his belt."

The Truth Is...

If she has learned anything at all, she has learned that:
Males and Females cannot be just friends.
She tried very hard to negate this statement but over a span of time, her thoughts and feelings began to shift.  In the beginning she referred to the Man In Her Notebook as her big brother, the two had grown close like kindred spirits.  After many conversations, jokes, and laughs she soon did what all females do, regardless if they admit it or not; she began to catch feelings.   She felt guilty about the situation because she didn’t want to ruin such a good friendship because she was falling for her friend.
So, she did what most don’t do. She confronted the situation. She let him know how she felt, but not with the expectation that he’d feel the same in return but just so she could simply lay it on the table. She soon learned that their friendship was a unique one, it was one in which she could express just about anything without judgment.  The anxiety of telling him made her feel overwhelmed.  Expressing herself was something she was great at but expressing it to someone she was unsure about was simply terrifying. Awkwardly, the subject was originally laughed off by him and the two continued to joke and laugh; it was as if she hadn’t said anything at all and honestly she found comfort in that. They continued on with their daily conversations and she realized. That it is simply natural for women to catch feelings especially if a woman: 1) finds him to be a likeable companion 2) is attracted to him 3) invests time in him.  The feminine side of her had taken over but it’s a natural reaction in taking interest in someone.  Once she realized this, she felt more at ease because it was bound to happen; but knowing that she could tell him and everything stay the same was just the friendship she was looking for.
The inquisitive woman was always filled with questions and he had made it safe for her to ask him anything.  So she did. Anything that came to her mind, she would just ask away.  She longed for a companion and just might have found it in him.  The best friend that she had been praying for might be right there in him. But oddly enough, along with the spirit of friendship something had triggered the spirit of change.  There was something about this friendship, she didn’t want to damage. She didn’t want to be like she always was because she knew how things resulted. She felt that this friendship was somewhat unique and designed for something greater.  She’s a naturally kind and loving person but what she wanted to change the most was her desire to always be alone. Withdrawing from people and not letting them get too close is what she knew best. She believes no one lasts forever and she just holds the door open as people walk in and out of her life. But, something about him made her want to change, maybe it was because he was so easy to love.
“It’s not hard for me to understand him because he’s so much like me. “

Fallin'

She's not the type to play games or hide how she feels. She's just  one of those people that doesn't want to miss a beautiful opportunity. Her hearts been through so much but she's so filled with L O V E.. that nothing even matters. She believes in taking chances and now that she's jokingly told him that she is  feelin' him... all is well. No regrets and No lies. Life is way too short not to tell people that you care. Love is an action and if she never allowed herself to act upon it , she knows her whole life would be a waste.

Everything happens for a reason

Everyone is a lesson or a blessing

And though all of those cliche' phrases are so true...

Life is nothing without L O V E

Faith to Love... No Matter What

If I never love another
My life will be a waste
I'll spend countless days indulging in my own selfish desires
Sharing my highs and lows with only myself.
When my  heart is broken, I'll pick myself up from my own stream of tears
while in my happiness, I'll delight in my own joy.
In sickness, I'll hold my own hair from the porcelain throne.
With no hand to hold and no one to embrace
I will  be all alone
Until

muster
the
faith
to love .
