He's A Mirror!

With all the recent events in her life, she started to count her blessings. She was searching for happiness in such a dark time. Surrounded by violence, death and illness she found comfort alone at the lake on top of the old hill. She propped her feet up on the back of the four-wheeler and laid her head between the handlebars.  As men of her past, blew up her inbox she turned her phone completely off. She was famished for love but not willing to give the right thing to the wrong person.  In all her confusion, she had an epiphany.

“He’s your mirror. The reason you are at peace and so comfortable with him is because you can look at him and see yourself. You can see your greatness and your flaws and that in turn will make you a better you.”

The man in her notebook was a catalyst for change.

The small gang of two inconspicuously became her help; with him she can discuss all her flaws.  She can discuss her disconnect from her mother and unfortunately he’d encourage her to talk to her mother.  Though the conversation was rough it meant the world to her mother. Last weekend was tough for her, her mother’s attitude towards her had changed; her mother was happy and smiling like a Cheshire cat.  There were times that weekend where she wanted to lose her temper. Thanks to God she didn’t and thanks to God she had a twin she could tell about her elementary accomplishment.  He’s a reminder that she doesn’t have to live the way she’s always lived. That she  doesn’t have to die a S.O.L.A. that she can take risks, be vulnerable and one day someone will be in her life to stay.
